Introduction:
The versions 1.0.6 (general) and 1.0.8 (GigPerformer), also called "Programmer's Edition" (short: PE), were initiated by customer requests
and offer a streamlined interface for easier prormamming as well as direct color switching and also some bug-fixes. This dedicated
site presents an overview of the changes and improvements.

Cleaned-up and re-arranged envelopes section with inversion parameter separated and destination LEDs:
Brightness-modes switcher now also has a labeled LED-indicator for the damp-mode:
The sine and triangle wave selectors now have a dedicated activity-LED to indicate if they are chosen:
The pitch-knob quantized / linear selectors are now more obvious what they do and offer a tool-tip:
So do the hardly ever used and so made tiny fine-tune trimpots:
The velocity-button now offers dedicated activity-LEDs for velocity to filter (adjustable) and velocity to amp:
In the modulation-matrix the release modes and LFO waveforms now are represented by a suitable icon:
In the voice-manager section the rarely used filter-trimpots were removed (still available in Boards view) and the pan-presets offer explaining tooltips
and the mono and stereo-spread presets are labeled:
In the Boards view the resistors on the right side of the trimpots were removed to make the tuning trimpots pop out more clearly and the tuning buttons were made larger:
In Boards view a new button was added which can deactivate the voice-LEDs on demand which should fix the flickering-GUI issue with some low-profile graphics cards if present:
In the tuner section a popping-up value-display shows the amount of auto-tuning if adjusted seamlessly by trimpot:
Engine fixes:
- Fixed temporarily (until preset re-loaded) lost effects settings when saving a preset from within the SAVED-folder
- Fixed effects of the current preset muted when switching to 2_RELOADS or 2_SAVED folder
- Fixed vel f-high / lfo delay rise / chord-db-arp speed knobs linked after closing and re-opening interface
- Fixed arpeggiator display on when arpeggiator is off after closing and re-opening interface
- No more drop-notes in the Arpeggiator (new and stable clock)
- Independent switching of GUI for AU and VST3 in Mac (setting can be different for both)
- The empty preset is now usable as default patch upon switching on levels and waveforms (was data-chunk before)
Notes:
The CPU-saving versions (ECO and LC) aren't available anymore for 1.0.6 and 1.0.8.
Since most even only halfway modern computers or laptops should be able to handle OP-X PRO-3 easily this shouldn't be a big loss.
If nevertheless needed 1.0.3 still offers these.
System requirements:
Windows:
- Windows 10 or Windows 11
- A modern 64bit sequencer/host supporting VST3
Mac:
- MacOS 10.15 or higher, Sequoia supported
- An AU or VST3 sequencer/host
- Intel or M1/M2 CPU (the synth is native M1 silicon / Intel universal)
Windows installation:
The installers were checked by Microsoft so there's no risk
If the Redistributable installer fails because a newer version already is installed simply click "Close" and then "OK".
Everything is fine then and installation finishes successfully.
For existing licensees this version is a free addition and available in your login area.
